Man arrested following assault and attempted theft in Corfe Mullen shop

Charges include assault by beating and theft

A 50-year-old man from Blandford has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault and attempted theft at a Corfe Mullen shop.

At around 4pm on Monday 15th December 2025, the man reportedly entered the Co-op on Wareham Road and attempted to steal alcohol.

When a staff member intervened, they were pushed into a metal door and suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention.

Following police investigations and a CCTV appeal, the suspect has been charged with assault by beating and theft.

He is scheduled to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 26th March 2026.
