Child injured at holiday park in Dorset

A child has been seriously injured, in a collision at a holiday park in Dorset.
It happened at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park in Burton Bradstock.
Dorset Police received a report, at 9.23am on Friday 7 August 2026, of a collision, involving a car and a child.
Officers have attended alongside the ambulance service and the child was taken to hospital with injuries currently believed to be serious.
His next of kin is aware.
A man has been arrested, on suspicion of driving offences.
He remains in police custody at this time.
Officers remain at the scene, to carry out detailed inquiries.
