A chalet's been completely destroyed by a fire near Bridport.

Two engines from the town's station were called to West Bexington at around 1.45am yesterday (Thursday 20th February).

The blaze had begun to spread to other chalets, vegetation and overhead power lines.

Electricity engineers isolate the cables to make the area safer for firefighters to work.

They used hose reel jets and thermal imaging equipment to help put out the flames.

Two further properties have been affected by heat and smoke damage.

An investigation's underway to determine the cause.
