Canon ball sparks closure of Weymouth Household Recycling Centre
Experts were called in to identify the object
Weymouth Household Recycling Centre was closed yesterday afternoon - after a possible ordnance device was discovered.
Experts were brought in to take a look the item turned out to be a canon ball!
The centre will be back open again as normal today.
Dorset Council has thanked Dorset Police for their support.
