The 43 year old has said it's been an honour to manage the club
Bournemouth have confirmed manager Andoni Iraola will leave the club at the end of the season.
The 43-year-old who's contract expires in three months turned down several extension offers and has been linked with a move back to Athletic Bilbao where he spent a decade as a player.
During his three-year tenure the club have established a strong presence in the Premier League, and delivered a record points total of 56 in 2024/25 resulting in their joint-highest finish of ninth place.
Iraola has Bournemouth competing for a place in Europe this season as they sit 11th in the premier league with six games remaining.
In a statement released by the club Iraola said: “It has been an honour to manage AFC Bournemouth and I am proud of what we have achieved together.
"I’m thankful to the players and staff that I’ve worked with, as well as Bill, who have all made my time here so special.
"As for the fans, you have continued to show your fantastic support to myself and the team, and for that I will always be grateful.
"I feel this is the right moment for me to step away, but I will always carry fantastic memories of this club.”
AFC Bournemouth have thanked Iraola for his "outstanding contribution" and Chairman Bill Foley said in a statement:
"Andoni has been instrumental in shaping the direction of this football club over the past three seasons.
"He brought intensity, innovation, and a clear philosophy that elevated AFC Bournemouth both on and off the pitch.
"We are incredibly thankful for his leadership and will always have great memories of our time working together, as well as the things we accomplished.”
Iraola's final game in charge will be the Cherries match against Manchester City on May 17th.
