Bournemouth man jailed for drug-dealing offences following warrant
Klodian Gjoci, who is 36, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court
A Bournemouth man has been jailed for drug dealing offences - following a warrant being carried out by officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Klodian Gjoci, who is 36, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court after pleading guilty to supplying a controlled drug of class A and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A.
Back on November 13th last year, officers used their powers under section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act to gain entry and search a property in Wellington Road in which a large quantity of cocaine and over £1,500 in cash was seized.
They say several wraps of cocaine were also found in Gjoci’s coat and another large amount of cocaine was found under his bed.
In total, over 500 grams of cocaine was located inside the property, with an approximate street value of between £22,000 and £55,000.
Following enquiries, Gjoci was arrested and subsequently charged.
He was jailed for three years and four months.
Police Constable Mia Rushen, of Bournemouth police, said: “We remain committed in our cause to disrupt the illegal drugs trade in our communities, identify offenders and bring them before the courts to be held accountable for their actions.
“Through our intelligence gathering, we were able to identify Gjoci’s involvement in the sale of illegal drugs and bring him before the courts to face justice.
“We would continue to urge the public to report any information they may have on suspected drug related activity in their area so we can build up an intelligence picture of what is occurring and take robust and decisive action.
“Anyone with information can report it to us at www.dorset.pnn.police.uk or call 101. If a crime is in progress, always dial 999.”
