A Bournemouth man has been sentenced to six years and five months in prison following a series of burglaries committed over three days.

Graham William Hill, 44, was identified as the perpetrator after a review of CCTV footage linked him to several crimes that took place between Thursday 17th July and Saturday 19th July 2025.

Hill's first offence involved breaking into a home on Strouden Avenue while the occupants were asleep.

Items like a wallet, car keys, and jewellery were stolen, followed by the theft of the victim's vehicle using the stolen keys.

CCTV footage captured Hill using a stolen bank card while carrying a distinctive shoulder bag taken during the burglary.

He also targeted another property on Cavendish Road, stealing laptops, wallets, and keys while the victims were upstairs.

In a third incident, an attempted break-in on Wimborne Road was thwarted when Hill was disturbed by the occupant.

Detectives from the Neighbourhood Crime Team examined all available footage and identified Hill as the offender.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, attempted burglary, and fraud by false representation.

Detective Constable Jo Regan commented on Hill's actions, saying, “Graham Hill is a prolific burglar who repeatedly targeted victims in a short space of time with no regard for his actions."

Regan emphasized the importance of safety at home and the commitment of officers to investigate and bring offenders to justice.

Hill was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Wednesday 25th February 2026.
