Arrests made following aggravated burglary in Lyme Regis

Detectives continuing to investigate an alleged aggravated burglary in Lyme Regis have arrested three people.

It is reported that at around 3.50am on Saturday 12th April 2025, five men with their faces covered entered an address off Hill Road while in possession of weapons and demanded money, before leaving with a quantity of cash.

Two people were reportedly assaulted during the incident and sustained injuries that were not serious.

Following enquiries, a 25 year old man from Axminster in Devon, a 28 year old man from Chard in Somerset and a 44 year old woman from Ilminster in Somerset was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

They have all been released on police bail while the investigation continues.
