Appeal for information following woman's assault in Dorchester

Police seek dashcam footage and witnesses

Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a reported assault on a woman in Dorchester.

The incident took place at approximately 8.35pm on Sunday, 15th March 2026, in Fairfield Car Park.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was allegedly assaulted by a man known to her.

She did not suffer any serious injuries.

Police Constable Christopher Hallett from Dorset Police said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I would also urge motorists who were in the vicinity around the time of the assault to please review any dashcam footage for anything of relevance.”
