Five staff members from the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) are gearing up to participate in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 12th April 2026.

The runners, Sophie Morgan, Toria Ford, Pip Jarvis, Ed Tindall, and Eloise Leonard hail from across the South West, including Devon, Bristol, and Dorset.

They will join thousands of others in the 13.1-mile race through London to raise funds for the South Western Ambulance Charity.

The charity’s says it's mission is to support the wellbeing of ambulance staff, volunteers, and communities beyond the core NHS services.

Toria Ford, one of the participants, shared her anticipation for the event.

"Taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon is both exciting and daunting.

Like many of my colleagues, I'm used to supporting others through challenging situations - this time it's about pushing myself physically and mentally for a cause that means so much to us all.

The South Western Ambulance Charity makes a real difference to staff wellbeing and community projects across the South West, and I'm incredibly proud to be running in support of that work."

Louise Walsh, Charity Fundraising Manager, expressed gratitude towards the team:

"Training for an event like this requires real commitment, especially alongside demanding frontline and support roles.

"Every pound they raise will help us continue delivering initiatives that benefit ambulance staff, volunteers and the communities we serve throughout the South West.
