21-year-old man arrested after pedestrian injured in Weymouth collision

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening

A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences after a pedestrian was injured in a collision in Weymouth.

Police received a report a crash involving a motorbike and a pedestrian at the junction of Dorchester Road and Waverley Road at around 7:38am this morning (24 June).

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

A road closure was also put in place to allow for a detailed examination of the scene to be carried out.

The motorbike rider, a 21-year-old man from Weymouth, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.

Police say he has also sustained injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
