13-year-old girl injured in alleged Wareham assault involving two teenagers

Police seek witnesses and footage of evening incident

Police are investigating an alleged assault involving two teenage girls in Wareham that left a 13-year-old girl needing medical attention.

The incident reportedly took place at about 8.30pm on Wednesday, 12th August 2026, near St John’s Hill.

The victim suffered a knee injury that required medical treatment, along with bruises to her head.

Police Constable Christopher Windows of Purbeck police is eager to hear from a woman believed to have intervened during the incident.

He provided a statement asking witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
