Police also authorised an order in Carlisle ahead of the Fireshow
A dispersal order was put in place in Workington town centre after a number of cases of anti-social behaviour involving young people over the weekend.
Allerdale Police said the section 35 order was due to remain in place until 4am this morning (2nd November).
Police also authorised a separate dispersal order in Carlisle city centre ahead of the annual Fireshow.
Workington
Allerdale Police announced the order in a Facebook post.
The force said the order was put in place because of a number of cases of anti-social behaviour in the town over the weekend involving young people.
Parents were asked to remind their children to behave responsibly.
Allerdale Police said in the post: 'If you are caught behaving in an anti social manner you can expect to be dispersed from the town centre.'
Carlisle
Cumbria Police said it would have an increased high-visibility presence in Carlisle as the city prepared to welcome thousands of people to the Fireshow.
Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team, PCSOs and partner agencies were due to be out in greater numbers across the city centre and the surrounding event location.
A dispersal order was authorised for Carlisle city centre from 2pm until 11.59pm on Saturday 31st October.
The order gave officers additional powers to direct people involved in anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not return.
Anyone who failed to comply with the order could have been arrested.
Inspector Andy Leather from Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "We want everyone attending to have a safe and positive experience, and our officers will be on hand throughout the weekend to offer support and assistance."
