Man jailed after breaching sexual harm prevention order

A man's been jailed at Carlisle Crown Court after breaching a court order designed to protect the public from sex offenders.
Sean Worley, 33, had been using social media and dating apps to contact hundreds of women, despite not having permission under the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
He was also found to have deleted his internet search history shortly before officers carried out a routine check of his phone.
Worley, who has no fixed address, has been sentenced to two years and four months.
He was convicted of serious child sex offences between 2016 and 2024 and was made subject to an SHPO and sex offender notification requirements.
Officers from the Management of Sexual and Violent Offenders team visited him on July 5th to check he was following the conditions of the order.
They found that his search history had been deleted at around 6.30 that morning.
He'd also recently deleted several social media and dating apps he'd been using to contact women.
