Police investigation leads to multiple arrests after man dies in Carlisle
A number of arrests have been made
An investigation has been launched after a man died following an incident in Carlisle at the end of the May,
Police were called to 39 Whinsmoor Drive, Carlisle on Saturday at around 11am, to reports that a man had suffered a serious head injury.
A man in his 40s was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The man was pronounced dead on Tuesday.
Cumbria police stated:
"Six people have been arrested in connection with this incident on suspicion of a number of offences, including grievous bodily harm and murder.
"Two individuals were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and have since been bailed.
"A further four individuals have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody."
