Police appeal after sexual assault in Carlisle

Cumbria police are investigating a sexual assault which occurred on the evening of May 27th between 11:30pm and 1am on Crown Street, Carlisle.

The incident involved a victim, a woman in her 30s, who was sexually touched by a man in his late 40s.

Anyone with information who may have witnessed the incident or assisted the woman to safety through Collier Lane to the Taxi rank are being asked to contact the force.
