Family pays tribute to 45-year-old Pete Faulkner following fatal collision near Thornthwaite
Police appeal for witnesses to A66 crash
The family of Pete Faulkner, a 45-year-old man from Cockermouth, has paid tribute to his life after he died in a two-vehicle collision on the A66 near Thornthwaite on Saturday, 6th June.
Pete Faulkner was driving a car at the time of the collision.
In a heartfelt tribute, his family described him as,
"A loving and devoted partner and Dad to Hannah and Finn, a much-loved son of Roger and Janet and brother to Katherine and Tim... A fell runner extraordinaire who came alive on the mountains..."
They remember him for his supportive nature, legendary practical mind, and ability to make the world a kinder place.
The family expressed how deeply he will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision and are appealing for any witnesses.
