Person rescued from rocks at Barrowmouth

Coastguard and RNLI work together to ensure safety

A member of the public was successfully rescued from the rocks at Barrowmouth on the Sunday 26th April 2026.

Cumbria Police alerted the Coastguard team and St Bees RNLI positioned themselves off the coast to assist with the operation.

The Coastguard team swiftly reached the scene and escorted the individual to safety.

The rescued person was then handed over to a waiting ambulance for further care.
