A former teacher previously jailed for child sex offences has been given another seven-year prison sentence, after more crimes from the 1980s and 90s came to light.

Paul Stuart Adams, a 78-year-old from Workington, was jailed in 2022 for seven-years for molesting two boys.

He has now been sentenced for five sexual offences involving four other boys.

He has been found guilty of three counts of the indecent assault of a child, one count of paying for the sexual services of a child and one count of sexual assault.

Carlisle Crown Court heard how Adams abused the trust he received as a teacher at a school in West Cumbria.

Media coverage in 2022 of his previous convictions prompted his victims to come forward.
