Police are appealing for information, after a crash on the A6 at Hackthorpe on Saturday (3 Jan).

It happened at around 3:35pm and involved a bus and a car.

The driver of the car, a man in his sixties, was taken to hospital with injuries and is in a stable condition. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

There were no reported injuries to any of the passengers on the bus or the driver.

Initial enquiries indicate there is no evidence to suggest that the diversion or traffic resulting from the M6 closure contributed to the collision.

Anyone with any information should report to police quoting log number 130 of 3 January.
