Long delays on M6 in Cumbria due to overturned vehicle

Drivers heading north on the M6 in Cumbria are facing long delays after a vehicle overturned this morning (21 October).

The incident was first reported at 5:50am, but two lanes are still closed between junction 41 at Catterlen and junction 42 for Carlisle South.

Highway teams say the motorway was blocked for almost an hour, and that police are at the scene.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the crash.
