Investigation ongoing into multiple fires on Hoad Hill, Ulverston
Multiple fires have been tackled on Hoad Hill, Ulverston, as fire crews investigate the cause.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue were called just before 2.15pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 23 March) to reports of a fire in the open.
Crews from Ulverston and Windermere fought the flames for around three hours.
The fire sevice has thanked Cumbria Police for helping to manage traffic, and for providin a drone to survey the scenes.
They've also thanked the people who called 999 to report the fires, and members of the public who avoided the area while roads were closed.
