Herdy murals bring colour and smiles to Carlisle's Springboard Centre
Local landmarks included in vibrant artwork donated by The Herdy Company
Visitors to the Springboard Child Development Centre in Carlisle are greeted by vibrant new murals, courtesy of The Herdy Company.
Displayed in the waiting room, the artwork features Herdy alongside some of Carlisle's iconic landmarks, such as Carlisle Castle, Carlisle Cathedral, The Market Cross, and Carlisle Racecourse.
The murals aim to create a welcoming and engaging environment, offering a bright and positive distraction for families attending the centre.
Springboard Child Development Centre, located on Orton Road, caters to children and young people with complex needs, providing specialist assessments and support to help achieve developmental milestones.
Bridget Newton-Carruthers, Team Lead for the Children's Community Nursing Service at the centre, expressed her delight with the donation: "We are absolutely delighted with the mural Herdy has kindly donated to our centre. The bright colours and familiar Carlisle landmarks have created such a cheerful and engaging space for the children and families who visit us.
We’ve already seen lots of smiles and lovely comments from parents and children, and it has made a real difference to the atmosphere in our waiting area."

This installation is the third NHS mural donated by Herdy, following previous creations at Westmorland General Hospital and Penrith Urgent Treatment Centre.
