Drivers in St Bees set for a few more weeks of disruption due to gas works and road resurfacing
Drivers in St Bees are being warned of possible delays until the middle of April, as resurfacing work on Main Street and Egremont Road continues.
The schedule for repairs has been changed, to allow Northern Gas Networks to upgrade gas supplies before Cumberland Council puts down a new road surface.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and cyclists will be kept open.
The council has apologised for any inconvenience, and says completing the gas works first will 'avoid the need for a newly resurfaced road to be excavated again shortly afterwards.'
