A Sleaford drug dealer caught with almost £4 million worth of cocaine in his car near Penrith has been jailed for ten years.
Police say the 39kg haul is one of the biggest drug seizures ever made in Cumbria.
Courtney Gaston-Hird, 34, of London Road, Sleaford, was stopped by officers near Penrith on 3 June.
When officers went to search his car, Gaston-Hird became resistant and ran from the scene.
He was arrested after a short foot chase.
Inside the car, police found 39 blocks of cocaine with an estimated street value of almost £4 million.
Gaston-Hird was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday (21 July) after admitting possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
