Two men charged in Cleator Moor fatal crash investigation
Incident led to previous arrest and charges of dangerous driving

Cumbria Police have charged two men in connection with a fatal road traffic collision in Cleator Moor on 26th May.
Shaun Rafferty, 22, from Hunters Drive, Seaton, and Stefan Young, 23, from Moresby Parks, Whitehaven, have been charged overnight with causing death by dangerous driving.
The charges follow the previous arrest of Kieran Joseph Yorke, 22, from Workington, who was also charged with the same offence.
Initially, three men were arrested in connection with the collision on Ennerdale Road, with two subsequently bailed as investigations proceeded.
Rafferty and Young have been bailed to appear at Workington Magistrates’ Court on 3rd August 2026.
Police continue to investigate the circumstance surrounding the crash that resulted in loss of life.
