Cars vandalised and items stolen at Braithwaite
Police want to hear from anyone in the area early yesterday
Several vehicles have had their windows and windscreens smashed near Braithwaite, with high value items stolen from inside say Cumbria Police.
Officers said they received reports of the break-ins yesterday (Sunday 20th September).
The incidents are believed to have started at around 7:30am and continued throughout the day.
Police say drivers returned to their vehicles to find the damage and discovered items missing.
They're appealing to anyone who was in the Braithwaite area from 7:30am onwards yesterday, or who witnessed anything suspicious, to get in touch.
Officers are also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage that may be relevant to the investigation.
Police said any information, however small it may seem, could help the investigation.
