Police continue to investigate sudden death of woman in Carlisle
People in the Whinlatter Way area should expect an increased police presence
Police are continuing to investigate the sudden death of a woman in Carlisle.
Emergency services were called to Whinlatter Way just after 11.20pm on 2 August after welfare concerns were reported.
A woman in her 60s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 60s was arrested in connection with the investigation but has since been released on bail.
Officers will remain in the area over the next few days as investigations continue.
They're asking that people refrain from speculation.
