Carlisle's Paul Dummett has escaped serious injury after being involved in a car accident.

The club's manager has confirmed he missed yesterday's one nil defeat in their League Two game against Bradford as a result of the incident.

Mike Williamson says Dummett has got a couple of cuts and bruises, but he didn't suffer any serious injuries.

The defender agreed a loan deal with the club until the end of the season nine days ago.

Carlisle United confirmed the news in a post on social media.
