People advised to close windows due to Armathwaite fire

Emergency services have been dealing with a fire in Armathwaite, located south of Carlisle.

The blaze was reported at approximately 8pm yesterday evening, 22nd July.

Reports indicate that the fire is in what is believed to be an empty building, and no casualties have been reported.

Several fire appliances are present, and road closures have been implemented for safety reasons.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the area if possible and to keep their windows closed due to the smoke in the vicinity.
