A sex offender from West Cumbria who twice breached the terms of a sexual harm prevention order has been jailed for almost a year.

Steven Banner, 48, from The Island in Anthorn, had digital devices in his bedroom that he was banned from owning.

They were found during a home visit by officers from Cumbria Police’s MOSOVO (Management of Sexual Offenders and Violent Offenders) team.

One included a storage hard drive that had been hidden in a bedroom drawer.

He was sentenced to 46 weeks imprisonment.
