Twelve emergency callouts in just two days highlight the vital work of the life-saving charity

Charity responds to serious incidents across the North while relying solely on public donations

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) had a busy Bank Holiday weekend, responding to 12 incidents across the North East, Cumbria, and Northumberland between Saturday 17 May and Sunday 18 May.

Their critical care teams were called to:

6 cardiac arrests

3 assaults

2 road traffic collisions

1 fall

In total, they attended 9 incidents in the North East, 2 in Cumbria, and 1 in Northumberland.
