Cyclist in 70s dies after collision with HGV on A6 in Cumbria
Officers were called out to reports of a collision between a bicycle and HGV
A cyclist in his 70s has died following a collision with a HGV on the A6 in Cumbria today (28th January).
Emergency services were called out to the A6 south of Hackthorpe at around 11.40am to reports of a collision.
The cyclist, a man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
