Teenager hospitalised with serious injuries after Cumbria crash

A teenage boy is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash between his electric bike and a car in Cumbria.

Emergency services were called out to the A5087 near to Peasholme Laneat around 7.34pm yesterday (28th January).

The driver of the electric bike, a Surron, was taken to hospital.

The driver of the car, a red VW Move up, was uninjured.

The road was closed for a number of hours yesterday.

A police investigation has been launched, and officers are now appealing for anyone with information, including dashcam footage, to come forward.
