A woman from Coventry will be sentenced later this month after pleading guilty to six counts of theft from a shop.

34 year old Sigourney Powell was arrested last week by officers from the Woodlands-Wainbody-Westwood and Whoberley team.

Powell was seen filing up a black duffel bag with various items including candles, meat and cleaning products before making off on her bicycle.

West Midlands Police stated:

"By knowing where and when prolific offenders are committing crimes, we can build a clear picture of their whereabouts and movements.

This makes arresting and charging them easier.

We investigate all reports of shop theft we receive and will carry out all possible enquiries to identify and arrest those responsible."
