Woman dies after collision involving police vehicle

The Independent Office for Police Conduct has confirmed that a woman, who was critically injured in a road traffic incident on Warwick Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, on Monday (24 August), has died.

The 62 year-old woman’s Ford Puma was in collision with a black Audi A3 car, which had been pursued by officers from Warwickshire Police.

The Audi driver died at the scene.

The IOPC says its thoughts are with the friends and families of both those who have died and both families have requested privacy at this difficult time.
