Woman, 46, sixth arrested over death of man in Kenilworth

A 46-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Kenilworth earlier this year.

Emergency services were called to a house on Chestnut Avenue just before midnight on 20 March after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man.

The man - 45-year-old Carl Stephens - was pronounced dead at the scene.

Today (20 August) a 46-year-old woman from Kenilworth was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

She remains in custody.

Three people - a 24-year-old man from Birmingham, a 49-year-old woman from Kenilworth and a 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth – were previously charged with murder in connection with Carl's death.

A 51-year-old woman from Solihull arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and a 72-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remain on bail pending further enquiries.
