Yellow fog warning for Warwickshire and the West Midlands as drivers told to expect delays
Dense fog could affect the morning rush hour
A yellow weather warning for fog is in place across Warwickshire and the West Midlands, with dense patches expected to cause travel disruption this morning.
The Met Office issued the warning at 4.18am on Friday 30th October 2026, and it runs until 10am today.
The Met Office says the fog will be dense in places, with visibility below 100 metres at times.
It says the most extensive and disruptive fog is expected during the morning rush hour.
The fog is then expected to slowly thin, lift and clear later this morning.
The warning covers Warwickshire and the West Midlands Conurbation.
It also applies to parts of the East Midlands, the East of England, and London and South East England.
What to expect
The Met Office says people should expect slower journey times, with delays to bus and train services.
It also says there could be delays or cancellations to flights.
The warning is yellow because the Met Office says there is a very high likelihood of the fog happening, of more than 75%, with a moderate impact.
Travel advice
The Met Office is advising people to check road conditions if driving, leave extra journey time and change their plans if necessary.
It says drivers should know how to switch on their fog lights and check they are working before setting off.
Bus and train services, as well as flights and ferry travel, may also be affected.
The Met Office says people should check for updates from their travel company and follow its advice.
It also says warnings can change, and recommends staying up to date with the weather forecast in your area.
