Warwickshire police detective charged over inappropriate contact allegations

A Warwickshire Police detective has been charged over allegations he had inappropriate contact with two women he met through work.

DC John Littlewood, 52, who works in the force’s Child Abuse, Trafficking & Exploitation team, faces two counts of improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable in relation to two women.

Littlewood was charged after an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which began following a referral from Warwickshire Police December 2023.

The IOPC said the investigation finished in December 2024.

DC Littlewood is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Thursday (October 23).
