Emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the northbound carriageway of the A46 between the A429 at Leek Wootton and the A452.
The incident happened around 4.35pm on Wednesday (8/7), involving four vehicles.
A man with neck injuries and a woman with leg and chest injuries were transported to hospital.
Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The road was reopened two hours after the incident.
