Two children taken to hospital after fire in Nuneaton on Boxing Day

Two children were taken to hospital after a fire at a property in Nuneaton on Boxing Day (December 26).

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called to a fire at a property near Lutterworth Road at around 1:45am.

Crews found two children who were checked over for possible smoke inhalation.

They were then taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a fire at a property near to Lutterworth Road in Nuneaton at 1.45am on Friday 26th and sent an ambulance to the scene.

"On arrival, crews found two children who they assessed for the possible effects of smoke inhalation before conveying them to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire."
