Two people have been arrested after a man was left with potentially life changing injuries in a stabbing in Coventry.

Police were called just after 7.35pm last night (February 24th) to Clay Lane and discovered a man in his 20s with serious stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries.

Two men, both aged 23 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Sherrie Kimberley from Coventry Police, said: “We understand this has caused concern in the community, especially following the death of Michael Ababio on Broad Street on Sunday night. There is nothing to suggest these two incidents are linked. To offer reassurance to the community we are increasing patrols in the area.

“As part of our investigation we are appealing to the public for information about the incident.

“We know it would’ve been busy at the time, so anyone with mobile phone footage and any dash cam footage is urged to come forward."
