Three charged with attempted murder in Coventry

Police have charged three people with attempted murder, after a stabbing in Coventry.

An 18 year-old man was found with stab wounds in Far Gosford Street, on the evening of 25 August.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, although they were not life-threatening.

Officers have been investigating the incident and at the weekend arrested a man, in connection with the attack.

Nawran Jalal, 24, from Coventry, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court today (7 September) and was remanded, ahead of a hearing at Warwick Crown Court on 25 September.

Police previously charged a 17 year-old boy and Mohammed Nawabi, 30, from Coventry, with attempted murder. They have appeared at court and also been remanded.

Police remain keen to hear from anyone who has information and are particularly interested in speaking to anybody who has any footage and who was travelling through the area and has dashcam footage.
