Teenager seriously injured after lorry crash in Stratford-upon-Avon

A teenage girl has been left seriously injured following a collision with a lorry in Stratford-upon-Avon this morning.
The incident occurred on Wood Street at 8.26am, prompting multiple emergency calls to West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Two ambulances, the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “The team of ambulance staff arrived to find fire colleagues working rapidly to free the girl from underneath the lorry.
"The girl had sustained serious injuries which required advanced trauma care by medics.
"Once treated and her condition stabilised, she was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further specialist trauma care.”
Warwickshire Police said: "We were called to Wood Street in Stratford shortly before 8.30am this morning after reports of a teenage girl who was believed to be trapped under a lorry.
"Officers attended along with the fire service, ambulance service and the air ambulance. The girl was taken to hospital with leg injuries that are not believed to be life threatening at this time."
