It happened yesterday
A suspected thief has been arrested within five minutes of a 999 call reporting a motorbike being stolen.
Police were alerted at 4.10pm yesterday (Monday) to the theft in progress in Coventry and, within minutes, officers were on the scene.
After quick-time enquiries, officers spotted the bike on Tarquin Close.
The suspected thief was trying to make good their escape, but was chased down by one of the officers and by 4.15pm was detained. The bike was also seized and, after examinations, will now be returned to its rightful owner.
A 15-year-old, arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, has been charged and has been bailed with conditions to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court on 21 May.
