A man and woman from Rugby have denied further charges in connection to the death of a 13-month old baby.

Isabella Stasiak died in hospital on 7th January 2025 after being taken ill at a house in Rugby.

Kinga Wydrzynska, 25, of Johnson Avenue, and Michal Stasiak, 27, of Blackwood Avenue, were initially charged in January 2025 with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child, which they denied.

Stasiak was also charged with possession of indecent images.

In December 2025, both defendants were further charged with:

  • Two counts of sexual assault by penetration in relation to Isabella
  • Three counts of assault/ill-treat/neglect/abandon a child/young person to cause unnecessary suffering/injury involving Isabella and two other children

At Warwick Crown Court today (January 9), a procedural hearing was held to allow all charges to be combined at the same trial.

Wydrzynska and Stasiak pleaded not guilty to the five counts above and have been remanded by the court.

Their trial has been scheduled for 6th October 2026.
