Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash in Warwickshire

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a road traffic collision involving a car in Warwickshire this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service received several calls reporting an RTC involving a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Smorrall Lane and Marriott Road, Bedworth at 3.11pm earlier today.

An ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance staff arrived on scene to find a motorcyclist, a man, being cared for by police and bystanders. Upon assessment, ambulance medics found he had sustained significant injuries. He received trauma care on scene before being conveyed by land ambulance on blue lights to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
