Midlands Air Festival lifts-off for its eighth edition

The Midlands Air Festival is making a spectacular comeback for its eighth edition, set to unfold at Ragley Hall.

This much-anticipated event promises a vibrant weekend packed with aviation entertainment and family fun.

Among the highlights are the breathtaking Nightfire show, captivating air displays, and dazzling hot air balloon launches, which will fill the skies with vibrant colours.

Visitors can also explore a range of trade stands and enjoy diverse entertainment options on the ground, ensuring a thrilling outing for all ages.

Exciting Air Displays

The festival will showcase the RAF Red Arrows jet aerobatic team, delivering their first public inland display of the season and offering a meet-the-pilots session on Sunday.

A notable highlight is the MiG 17F Cold War jet fighter's debut UK display, boasting afterburner effects—the only airworthy example in Europe.

Accompanying the MiG 17F are the Strikemaster Pair ground attack jets, performing a formation display, along with the Bronco Vietnam-era ground attack turbo prop operating from the festival's runway.

Hot Air Balloons and Tickets

Balloon enthusiasts can look forward to more than 100 giant hot-air balloons, including unique character designs.

The event emphasises promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to young people, along with celebrating women in aviation.
