A 30 year-old man has been jailed, after a drugs investigation in Rugby.

Marius Islamaj, of Newbold Road, Rugby, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday (16 September).

On 30 October 2025, Ismalaj was seen taking part in a suspected drug deal in the town. He was stopped by an officer and arrested.

A subsequent search of his home uncovered over 330 grams of cocaine, estimated to be worth more than £30,000.

Islamaj was charged and remanded in custody, where he later pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs - cocaine.

Last week, he was sentenced to three years and two months’ imprisonment.

After the sentencing, investigating officer, Detective Constable Matthew Rapkins, said: “Those who are involved in the supply of drugs ruin lives. They have no regard for the harm they cause, to vulnerable people and to our communities.

“We will continue to relentlessly target and disrupt those who profit from exploitation.”
