A 27 year-old man has been charged, with sexual offences.

The charges come, after police were called to a hotel in Kenilworth on Monday evening (18 August), after reports that two girls had been sexually assaulted.

Ahmad Hania, a Syrian national from King Edward Road, Nuneaton, has been charged with sexual assault on a female, one count of engaging in penetrative sexual activity, with a girl under the age of 16 and one count of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity, with a girl under the age of 16.

Officers located both girls at the hotel and, later that same night, arrested Hania, at his home address.

His first appearance was this morning, (19 August) at Coventry Magistrates Court. He has been remanded in custody, to appear at Warwick Crown Court, on 17 September 2026.

Police say they continue to support the girls and their families, and have specially-trained officers in place, who are keeping them updated.
